FAQ

Here you will find helpful Frequently Asked Questions.  Hopefully this will help your photo session go as smoothly as possible. If you do not find the answer to your question here, please email me! ImagesbyCLB@gmail.com

Meg. Catahoula Leopard Dog.
So I want to hire you, now what?

Once you have contacted me, we will get together and discuss how you are looking to add my images to your home.  Are you looking for a canvas display, wall display, album?  You tell me what you are looking for, I am sure I can have it made for you!  Then we will discuss your pet, do they love treats? Love frisbee?  Shy?   What features do you love about your pet?  Any special tricks?

Once we decide on a date, half of the session fee is due then (it is a non-refundable retainer fee).  The rest is due before the session.  I will go over my contract.  Contracts are signed, I will answer any questions you may have.

After you session, and once your images are ready, I will present them to you.  This is done in person, so we can chat about which images you want to select for your display and the prints you would like to purchase.  I am a full service photographer.  I help guide you through your ordering session. I don't want the beautiful images just sitting on a disk in a drawer somewhere!  We want those proudly displayed on your wall!  So, after your order is complete, I go back to work.  I order everything, insure it looks great when it arrives, and then I personally deliver it to you.

How can I help make the session go smoothly?

  • Make sure your pet has been groomed recently.

  • Exercise your pet shortly before our session.

  • Have a lint roller handy, if you are planning on being in the portraits.

  • Please use a small, skinny black leash, if you have one (if the session is going to be outdoors).

  • Please bring a small water/food bowl (if the session is going to be outdoors).

  • Please bring along any props, toys, beloved items you want to incorporate into the session.

I want to be in the session, what do I wear?

This is something we would discuss in our pre-session meeting.  I want your clothing to compliment the location you plan on putting your images in your home.  But a general idea, would be jeans, nice shoes, (as they will likely end up being in the shot), and soft muted tops. No black (shows the dog hairs!!) and no white (shows dirt!!).  I can show samples of what would be a great starting point for clothing.  Be sure to check out my Pinterest account, to see examples of what looks good in a portrait.  It will also depend on where you intend to hang your images in your home.  You would like to have the decor compliment your clothing in the images.
